Did Someone Say Tablerunners?

Last time we met, I brought along a few tablerunners that I thought I'd show here for those that weren't able to make it. Tablerunners are something that you can really whip up in no time flat using leftover material, fat quarters, or going out and buying your own fabric and customizing to your taste.

This one below is made using just two fat quarters for the pinwheels and then a yard of fabric for the border fabric.

Below is a closeup of an identical tablerunner that I made of the one above using different colored fabric. This red fabric was stunning when it was finished. Too bad I gave it away to my now ex-daughter-in-law.

This table runner uses just four fat quaters cut into three 5" or 6" inch blocks and arranged as you like and then adding a 2.5 or 3 inch border.

Here is a close up of this one. I finished this one and gave it to my mother a few years ago.

This is the same design, but I used Christmas fabric and then cut out Christmas trees and appliqued them to each end. You can do this with Halloween or Thanksgiving, etc.

This is another tablerunner that I made. I brought this one along the last meeting and have the pattern for this one if you would like it. I believe it's a sawtooth design. This one was made with Thimbleberries fabric.

And I thought I'd throw this in! We met at my house ....it's been so long now I can't remember when, but here's Barb and Dale on the floor, while Georgia is working away at the table on her machine.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Happy Quilting. :)
